PRIVACY POLICY
Welcome to Fortuitous Fine Jewelry. By using this website, placing an order, booking a consultation, or purchasing a custom piece, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using our site or services.
Overview
Fortuitous Fine Jewelry creates custom, handmade, vintage-inspired, and heirloom reworked jewelry. Because each piece is made with care and often designed specifically for you, some policies differ from those of large retailers or mass-produced brands.
By accessing this website, you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time without prior notice.
Custom Jewelry Orders
Custom jewelry is deeply personal, and every project begins with a conversation. Once a design concept, materials, and pricing are approved, a non-refundable deposit may be required before work begins.
Because custom pieces are made specifically for you:
-
Deposits are non-refundable
-
Design changes requested after production begins may result in additional charges
-
Production timelines may vary depending on complexity, stone sourcing, and material availability
-
Final payment is required before delivery or shipment
Fortuitous Fine Jewelry reserves the right to decline projects that cannot be completed safely, ethically, or within a reasonable timeframe.
Heirloom and Client-Supplied Materials
Clients may choose to provide heirloom stones, vintage jewelry, or precious metals to be incorporated into a new design.
While every effort is made to protect and preserve sentimental materials, Fortuitous Fine Jewelry cannot guarantee the structural integrity of older stones, delicate settings, worn prongs, or fragile vintage jewelry.
By providing heirloom materials, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in removing, resetting, resizing, repairing, or altering previously owned jewelry.
Pricing and Payments
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.
Accepted payment methods may include major credit cards, debit cards, electronic payments, financing options, or invoicing for custom work.
For custom orders, payment schedules may include:
-
Initial design deposit
-
Interim material payment if applicable
-
Final balance due before pickup or shipping
Failure to complete payment may result in delays, cancellation of the order, or forfeiture of deposits already paid.
Shipping and Delivery
Fortuitous Fine Jewelry is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather events, customs processing, or other circumstances outside of our control.
Once an order has shipped, tracking information will be provided when available. Customers are responsible for ensuring that shipping information is accurate before an order is sent.
If a package is lost, stolen, or damaged during transit, Fortuitous Fine Jewelry will assist in filing a claim with the shipping carrier when possible.
Returns and Exchanges
Due to the handmade and custom nature of our work:
-
Custom jewelry is final sale
-
Personalized pieces are final sale
-
Deposits are non-refundable
-
Earrings may not be returned for hygiene reasons
For ready-to-ship pieces, return requests may be considered within 7 days of delivery if the item is unworn and in original condition.
Approved returns may be eligible for store credit or exchange only. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Repairs and Warranty
We stand behind our craftsmanship and want you to love your jewelry for years to come.
If your piece requires repair due to a craftsmanship issue within 90 days of delivery, Fortuitous Fine Jewelry may repair it at no additional cost.
This warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear

Bent rings from impact or improper wear

Tarnishing, scratching, or accidental damage
